Alice in Colorland

I must have been about 15 years old when I bought my first SLR
camera - the classic Canon AE-1. I used it a couple of years before
I finally realized, that my photographic style and capabilities
didn't actually match my financial circumstances then. I was no
professional, but like a pro I usually took dozens or more shots
before I was reasonably pleased with a single one of them and the
whole thing became quite an expensive hobby. Some day then I
decided, that the ratio was too inadequate ... and so I quit
photography for a long time.

When coming back from the nightly photo-trip to the 'Frühlingsfest'
(spring celebration) and browsing over the about one hundred shots
on my card, my memory went back to these days. Apart from this one,
there were only two other photos I would have possibly considered
worth while for my ++ q u e s t o ++ gallery ... how times are changing.
